1. Fire Alarm Systems BDM, VIC / QLD / NSW

The business has enjoyed excellent growth over the last 3 years and as a part of its future growth strategy, CSD is establishing a Fire Distribution Division. CSD has secured the distribution of one of the world’s leading fire alarm systems and are now recruiting knowledgeable technical sales staff to assist with the development of this division.

In NSW, this role can be based out of our Seven Hills OR Waterloo branch.

In VIC, this role can be based out of our Mulgrave OR Tullamarine branch.

The successful candidate will have

  • 5 Plus years’ experience working in the fire industry
  • Working knowledge of Australian fire standards
  • Strong technical experience in fire alarm system design, commissioning, and testing - with products such as Honeywell, Notifier, Tyco, Ampac, Pertronic etc
  • Strong network of fire installation companies and consultants
  • Experience or aptitude for technical sales

The role will involve

  • External sales - meeting installers, demonstrating product, assisting with systems designs, preparing quotes etc.
  • Account management -  ensuring customers are serviced and supported.
  • Assisting CSD account managers with fire system enquires. 



2. Business Development Manager, Electronic Security Distribution (NSW)

The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced BDM to work out of our NSW branches.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and building relationships with established accounts in an assigned territory/market segment to generate new business
  • Building ongoing relationships with consultants and key stakeholders
  • Managing a portfolio of allocated customers via phone, email and face to face contact
  • Identifying major projects from a variety of sources
  • Analysing product suitability for relevant projects
  • Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations
  • Conducting demonstrations and presentations for existing and prospective clients
  • Organising and attending meetings with customers
  • Understanding system design and maintaining relevant product knowledge
  • Achieving realistic monthly sales targets
  • Systematically recording activities in CRM application
  • Supplying management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Attend industry functions, such as events, trade shows, conventions and training seminars

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current CCTV and access control systems with a focus on integration
  • IT knowledge relevant to the security industry
  • Proven record in sales, negotiation and business development
  • Ability to close sales and manage outcomes
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Customer service and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of MS Office and other applications
  • A current, unrestricted driver's licence

Prior experience in the electronic security industry is a must.



 3. Warehouse Operator/Customer Service (Seven Hills, NSW)

The Role:

We are currently seeking a full-time store person to operate our warehouse and effectively contribute to the functioning of our Seven Hills branch. This opportunity requires someone who is willing to work within a team committed to providing an outstanding service to our customers and has the potential for career growth into our internal sales team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packaging and dispatching orders
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Ensure safe warehouse operations, especially regarding forklift use
  • Solve discrepancies regarding stock and orders
  • Serving customers at the Trade Counter
  • Liaise with customers and couriers regarding orders and deliveries
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a high level of service
  • General maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse
  • Coordinating stocktakes

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of customer service
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Intermediate PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Physical capabilities to lift and move heavy boxes

4. Technical Support Junior - Electronic Security Industry

The Role:

We are currently looking to expand our Technical Support team by appointing a Junior, with IT knowledge, whom we can train and help begin a career at CSD. This role would suit a recent IT graduate, or a current IT student whose study schedule allows for full-time work hours.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Service incoming calls to our National Technical Support Line
  • Provide technical expertise for security products, including IP Networks, CCTV, DVRs, Cameras and WiFi solutions - for the National business.
  • Solve technical problems and communicating with people over the phone (primarily) and face-to-face
  • Offer remote Technical Support for our customers in-field and internal employees, across all areas of our security products
  • Troubleshoot HW/SW issues, IP network dilemmas and assisting our sales team in supporting our customers.
  • Give pre-sale consultations and post-sales advice on both IP and Analogue technologies
  • Setup systems in-house to simulate and troubleshoot problems in-field
  • Assist in the evaluation process for new security products
  • Support tender bids and provide technical input for quotes

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Relevant IT qualifications and knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding phone etiquette
  • A strong interest in new technology and development
  • A high level of customer service
  • An enthusiasm to learn and grow with the business
  • The ability to build relationships with people
  • Technically savvy with IT computer systems, PC Hardware, Operation Systems and Network
  • The ability to present technical information to a group of people
  • Industry experience dealing with security products involving IP technologies - would be beneficial but is not essential
