1. Internal Technical Sales (Electronic Security Industry) - Tullamarine, VIC

The Role

In this role of Internal Technical Sales, you will become the first point of contact for the branch, and autonomously manage the busy Trade Counter for all technical queries and assistance. You will maintain a high level of customer service by building customer rapport, and ensuring all phone, counter and email enquiries are handled efficiently. Overall, you will contribute to the back-end functioning of the branch and assist with inventory control and customer returns with your technical competence.

As you progress in the role and develop your product knowledge, you will conduct customer demonstrations and provide technical insight into products to assist with the sales process. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • In this role you will initiate, establish, and build strong customer relationships, retention, and loyalty
  • Serve a variety of markets by suggesting and delivering the suitable technical product solutions
  • Actively participate and develop new accounts, generate sales quotes, and handle customer inquiries to help service customers and grow business.
  • Provide superior customer service by delivering products and services to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Actively engage CSD colleagues and resources regularly to provide a complete customer solution in order to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Being the first point of contact for the branch, including serving customers over the Trade Counter
  • Liaising with customers via phone and email to assist in answering queries regarding products, pricing, orders, stock, delivery and account queries
  • Learning and continually developing product knowledge for CSD's range of access control, security systems and CCTV surveillance
  • Assisting with branch operations, administration and general ad-hoc

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Technically savvy with a knowledge of IP technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence in dealing with customers and the ability to form strong relationships
  • A positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn and dedication
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new programs
  • Commitment to the highest level of customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a similar role or electronic retail industry is beneficial
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team

Technical/IT/electronic background is essential for this role. The Role

Due to a recent retirement, we now have a unique opportunity for a passionate and skilled Major Account Manager to join our NSW sales team. Reporting to the State Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening business relationships, applying leading sales techniques, and driving revenue growth within our key accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing NSW major accounts, with a focus on business development
  • Build new and maintain existing key relationships by consistently providing a superior level of service, support and added value
  • Identify and follow up all new business, product and project opportunities
  • Conduct demonstrations and presentations for existing and prospective clients
  • Analyse product suitability and develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations
  • Maintain a detailed and active opportunity pipeline and systematically record activities within the CRM

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Business development experience in the Electronic Security industry, with wholesale/distribution experience preferred
  • Strong industry knowledge and existing customer network in NSW
  • Deep understanding of the commercial drivers of business
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including at executive team level
  • Flexibility and adaptability in following differing procedures established by vendors, and any conditions presented by key stakeholders
  • Current NSW driver licence

The Role

Due to a recent promotion, we have an exciting full-time opportunity for an internal sales representative to join our growing team at Balcatta branch. This opportunity requires someone who is willing to work independently within a fast-paced branch committed to providing an outstanding service to our customers. 

This role is varied and involves a lot of responsibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Being the first point of contact for the branch, including serving customers over the Trade Counter
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Processing customer orders via the counter, phone and email requests
  • Providing quotations based on customer specifications and needs
  • Liaising with customers via phone and email to assist in answering queries regarding products, pricing, orders, stock, delivery and account queries
  • Building relationships and rapport with customers
  • Cross-selling and up-selling products to customers
  • Learning and continually developing product knowledge for CSD's range of access control, security systems and CCTV surveillance
  • Conducting demonstrations and providing technical insight into products to assist with the sales process
  • Assisting with the returns and backorder processes
  • Assisting with general branch support, administration and general ah-hoc
  • Supporting the external sales team and management
